Thomar Honoris - Historical Recreations

Thomar Honoris is a non-profit association, based in Tomar, dedicated to the recreation, representation and preservation of heritage, with different areas and departments.Thomar Honoris is a non-profit association based in the city of Tomar, dedicated to the study and practice of medieval arts.

Founded on December 3, 2014, Thomar Honoris was born with a group of 12 people, practitioners of historical fencing, who, after the 2014 Templária Festival, decided to create the association and general value for the city, for the people of Tomar and for lovers of our History, in general.The first department created, as a result of the situations, was the Weapons Academy.

A year later we created the Academia de Arco Histórico, followed by other departments. The last to emerge was the Thomar Historical Music School, part of the Academy of ArtsThomar History.Thus, the association today has the following departments: Academy of Weapons, Academy of Historical Arch, Academy of Historical Arts, Academy of Historical Crafts, Academy of Combat Arts – FCMMA, Social Service, Educational Service and the departments common to the management and operation of the association.

Over time, this association gained friends, supporters and mainly associates, who constitute its base.These years later, Thomar Honoris is, today, an association committed to general social value and an educational component, with an active structure of social responsibility in all its activity.Today, our association asserts itself within the medieval arts, is implemented at a national level, taking historical rigor and heritage preservation to the highest level.Believing in constant evolution, as an institution and as people, we always welcome new elements with great enthusiasm.
